In 2003, Dr. DING and I established Broadex Technologies. It has been a great journey by working together with the Broadex people and creating our own history. Over the years, we have devoted ourselves to the cause of developing high-end integrated optoelectronic devices. With hard work and perseverance, we become a leader in the marketplace for what we do. We will make greater strides on the path we have created and contribute further in the field of PLC (planar lightwave circuit) integrated optics.

New communication technologies such as cloud, IoT and 5G are bringing unprecedented changes to people's lives. These technologies are closely associated with the advancement of fiber optics technologies. This presents us a great business opportunity that we must work to seize. Broadex Technologies focuses on the development, production and sales of integrated fiber optical components. The company is dedicated to volume applications of PLC based integrated technologies and has developed core competency in areas of PLC chip design and post-processing, device packaging and optical testing for many high-end passive devices and active devices.

At present, the company mainly serves the worldwide fiber optical network, especially the fast growing fiber to the home( FTTH) access network and the internet data center (IDC) markets, with high-quality power and wavelength management devices as well as high-speed (40G、100G) active devices. In particular, optical power splitters and dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) devices have leading market shares in the world.

The company has its R&D center and sales and marketing team in Shanghai, volume production bases in both Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, and Chengdu, Sichuan Province, and customer service center in Shenzhen.

Research and Development

Broadex Technologies is recognized as a state-level high-tech enterprise. The company invests heavily in technological innovations and has built a high-caliber R&D team. The R&D group has undertaken many important product development projects and has been awarded over 20 patents and software copyrights. Core proprietary technologies developed by the company include optical chip post-processing, high-precision fiber array fabrication, reliable coupling and bonding, and automated integrated optical performance testing.

The field of fiber optical device-making is marching toward integration, modularization, miniaturization and being intelligent. The company will strive to develop further integrated components and sub-systems based on both PLC and MEMS platforms, with the aim of becoming a truly leading optoelectronic enterprise in the near future .

Markets and Customers

Broadex Technologies is one of the first volume manufacturers of PLC optical power splitter in China. The products have been widely deployed in fiber to the home (FTTH) networks. Over the years, more than 75 million channels of optical splitters have been shipped to worldwide customers, representing a significant market share in the global access network. Taking advantage of the rapid expansion of optical fiber network in recent years, the company has further developed a variety of DWDM devices such as AWG, VOA and VMUX on the PLC platform and has become a key supplier to tier-one customers like Huawei, ZTE and Fiberhome.

With the optical communication network evolving into high speed, large capacity, wide coverage and low energy consumption, the company will continue to pursue vigorously the development of novel optoelectronic devices to meet growing needs from our customers.
